Ewbanks' Jets Football Training Facilities
were completely overhauled in 1997 when the ASATI Tedlar air
support structure was installed over the 60 yard Astroturf
field. The ASATI structure provides the team with an all
weather, fully lighted facility in which to practice. The
state-of-the-art ASATI air-structure allows the Jets football
team to work out in computerized weather conditions equal to the
upcoming competitors stadium environment.
The Jet players
will spend the week before each game practicing at Weeb Ewbank
70 foot high, 54,000 square foot facility located on the Hofstra
University campus in Hempstead, NY. Named for the Professional
Hall of Fame coach, Ewbank Hall is the Jets year round training
facility,
ASATI’s air structures
meet the same wind load 120 mph and snow loads 35lb/
sq. foot set by the local code standards established for
permanent buildings.
